Discover the Benefit of Fish Oil Pill

Author: Dan Ho

When discussing the benefit of fish oil pill it's hard to know where to begin.

Omega 3 fatty acids -- of which fish oil pills are rich in -- may help protect against coronary heart disease and they help keep the brain healthy.

But they may also benefit a host of other conditions.

Health savvy people are aware that most of us don't get enough omega 3's. It's estimated that 60% or more of people in the US alone are deficient in omega 3 fatty acids.

Therefore, if you want the benefit of fish oil pill make sure to take them everyday.

But before you do, make sure you only purchase molecularly distilled products. You see, fish often harbors contaminants due to pollution in the Ocean waters. The only way to get the benefits without the harmful effects of mercury and other heavy metals is to have the impurities removed via molecular distillation.

This is why many people are wondering: is fish oil harmful?

Is Fish Oil Harmful

The answer to that question is that it most certainly can be harmful if you buy a product that isn't molecularly distilled.

If you buy a purified fish oil product rich in omega 3's then there aren't really many ways fish oil can harm you.

However, the biggest precaution is to know that fish oil is a blood thinner (this is not a bad thing in itself....in fact, it can be very beneficial for people with heart disease).

However, it can be harmful if you are already using other blood thinners, such as aspirin or prescription anti-coagulants. Therefore, if you are already using other blood thinners, talk to your doctor before using fish oil....because a combination of blood thinners can thin the blood too much.

Other known side effects of fish oil can include diahrrea if too much is used.

Otherwise, it is commonly accepted that dosages of up to 2 grams per day is safe.
