I Want My Own Product

Author: John Hostler

Ok, so youve learned the ins and outs of Internet Marketing and have become fairly adept at marketing other peoples products. You want to take it to the next level and market something of your own. So, how in the world do you do that?

I get an unbelievable amount of email relating to this topic and so many people seem to be interested in selling something of their very own, but they dont know where to start. Well, I wont tell you its easy but it is not as difficult as some would have you believe.

You have to stop trying to force that million dollar idea. I know from personal experience that when I force something it shows. The idea needs to be a natural and direct result of something you know or have experienced.

Folks have these kinds of ideas every day and never do anything about them. I meansurely you have thought to yourself, Hey, wouldnt it be great if there was something that? Or, hey I could really use a. The next time that happens to you, write it down.

Now, if you havent had the luck of having that great epiphany at the same time you are thinking about bringing your own product to market, youll have to work a little harder to make it a reality.

So, what do you need to do to create your own product? Think about the things you know about. It does not matter if its a subject that would appeal to a mass market because you can create very profitable niche products if you do it right.

If you think you dont know anything then I say to you, Think again. Even if all you do is sit on your duff and play video games all day, you know something. You know video games. And that knowledge could become a product for you.

You could create an ebook for tricks and cheats for some of the latest games. Or perhaps create a gamers review web site. The ideas are only limited to your imagination.

If you have been marketing online and have found that a certain tool would really help you in your endeavors, then the chances are it would help other online marketers as well. Build that tool and sell it.

Not a software designer or a coder? No problem there either. Go to eLance.com or Rent-A-Coder.com and place your concept up for bid. Unless your idea is incredibly complex you should be able to get your project done for a very reasonable amount...not to mention the relationship you could build with a coder for future projects.

A developer that I work with now has done projects for me as low as $35.00. And I can do with those as I please. They make great giveaways or I could sell them for even as low as $9.95 a shot and still make a nice profit.

So, when you are ready to create something of your own, stick with something you know or something that you know would help you with your business. Its not a puzzle so dont try to over think it. The things you have learned and experienced in your life are all resources that you can leverage to develop your very own product.
