The Power of Being Healthy

Author: Vishii Rita Krocha

What do you do when you lose your senses? When your visions become blur or at least it seems so and your sight can get no farther than the walls that close you and the beautiful view outside stands still, unseen and shut off from your world. What do you do when you are dumbfounded, not because you are astonished but because you lose your enthusiasm to speak, to say something of interest just because you are weak and you can find nothing much to say? Anyway, you wouldn't succeed coloring your speeches with words when your spirits fail you.

What do you do when you become deaf to a lot of things? When you can't seem to hear people properly and it feels like some kind of barrier has come in the way. What do you do when your nose gets blocked, you can't breathe free and you can barely smell anything good or bad, you can't even enjoy the aroma that comes out from every cooking meal nor the sweet fragrance of flowers? What do you do when your taste goes haywire? When you lose your taste for a variety of rich food, fruits, sweets and the like?

What do you do when you lose your senses? You would certainly try to get them back; do all you can to get them working again, for what's life without them? How terrible would life be without having the ability to feel, taste and touch? When you lose any of it, you lose a part of your well being. And each time it deteriorates, you let go some percent of your health. A little enthusiasm from your life escapes from you and that amount increases if lesser care is taken.

We may not be health freaks but one time or the other when we are bogged down by sicknesses of any kind, we can only pray for better health. We become fighters and battle for more fitness to carry us through, to enable us to do things more vibrantly and even enjoy life, breathe free and live.

There is nothing like enjoying good health. Nothing like having a good appetite and being able to get the taste of real food, to smell the varieties that adorn our kitchens and to have some kind of glow circling our beings, nothing like the feeling of goodness that a healthy body gives.

Good health is a Gift. A priceless one! Nothing else comes close to it. No one can be perfectly happy if illness of any kind dwells in a person. It is a key that opens up doors of happiness. Happiness because power, success, money, fame and achievements turn to nothing when good health slowly deteriorates. And once it's gone, there's nothing much you can do except wait to regain it.

Sometimes it's our carelessness that makes us sick, at times we are just prone to it. Often times we are down with some little discomforts. And they really affect us. Ill health droops our spirits, makes us want to frown and even disturbs the peacefulness of a person's mind. I have learnt in time that there is no replacement to good health. That nothing can buy it, that it's the most precious thing that we can ever have for without it nothing works well. Without it, we become poorer and own a little less.

Everybody wants a life free of illness. Perfect health, happiness and stuffs. But it strikes us too little time of its value. We become ignorant of it when we actually have our senses working perfectly. But in the long run of our lives, good health is one of the things that begin to count the most. For it's in health that we really enjoy everything to the full. It's in health that we are at our very best. It's this power of being healthy that makes the most out of life
